Livia’s patented SmartWave™ technology uses unique micro-pulses to stimulate nerves and block painful cramps, is helping women across the globe overcome menstrual pain more effectively, quickly, and safely than with drugs alone. Livia significantly reduces, and even eliminates the sensation of menstrual pain. Livia is portable, fashion-forward, easy to use, and worn comfortably and discreetly under outfits.

Problem Statement

In this case, the problem is split into two different categories:

  • The device has no UI elements that allow the user to view the pulse strength, battery life, connectivity, and usage statistics.

  • The business module has been altered to a subscription base and the device price dropped respectively.
In this case, a user may choose to opt in, cancel the subscription, or chargeback upon attaining the device.

Customer-facing solution

Introduce an ability to connect the device to an application that allows a full view of the following:

  • Pulse strength and control

  • Battery life

  • Statistics and device usage throughout the menstrual cycle

  • Subscription plan

  • Read, share and rate as part of a wholesome community

  • Order perishables like gel pads, charges, cables, quality-of-life augmentations like skins

Business solution

Allow remote device deactivation upon account subscription cancellation or chargeback
